Native Planting Project: New Light Lutheran

When: 10 am-12 PM on Saturday, June 22

Where: New Light Lutheran Church, 2120 Dundalk Ave, Baltimore, MD 21222

Who: Dundalk Community members interested in volunteering to plant trees and native plants which will improve the water quality of the Bear Creek and Chesapeake Bay.

Why: The DRC will be working with volunteers to plant native trees and plants which will provide habitat for birds, clean the waters of the Bear Creek and Chesapeake Bay by reducing stormwater runoff, improve business in the area, and keep our neighborhoods cool in the heat of the summer.

How to take part: Arrive at New Light Lutheran Church at 10 AM with a full water bottle and wearing clothes that can get dirty. Water/gloves will be provided during the planting and a potluck lunch will follow.  You're welcome to bring a dish to share.
