Three Dundalk residents were honored during The Arc Baltimore’s recent Annual Meeting.

Mother and son Patty and Cody Warrenfeltz were honored with The Arc Baltimore’s Volunteer Service Award for demonstrating their commitment to The Arc’s mission by providing voluntary support to the agency. Patty and Cody volunteer at the food pantry at The Arc Baltimore’s Dundalk Center, picking up donations, packing orders and then delivering food to families in need.

Arc Baltimore Executive Director Stephen Morgan notes, “Patty and Cody have become part of The Arc family at Dundalk. They are a gift to The Arc community and to the families who benefit from the pantry.”

In addition, Roberta Groh was honored with The Arc Baltimore’s Special Appreciation Award. For several years, Roberta and her staff at Beanie’s Ice Cream & Candy Parlor in Dundalk have hosted individuals from The Arc Baltimore for their book club every Wednesday. When they arrive, Roberta greets everyone personally, and on holidays and birthday, she has gift bags and free ice cream certificates for all.

Roberta also understands the importance of this weekly visit and why The Arc encourages all individuals to connect with others in their community. As a result, she encourages social conversation, not only about the book, but current events and life in general. She sets an admirable standard for other businesses in the Dundalk community.
