On November 30, 2021, at 5:28 p.m., detectives from the Baltimore County Police Department attempted to arrest the driver of a stolen vehicle in the 6900 block of Blanche Road. In an effort to elude police, the driver of the vehicle struck a police vehicle that was occupied by a detective. During the incident, one detective fired a single shot at the driver of the stolen vehicle. The driver was not injured and then surrendered to detectives at the scene.

The suspect is currently being held at the Baltimore County Detention Center without bond.
