Body Found Near Water Treatment Plant In Dundalk: Police
A body was found in the water near the Back River Wastewater Treatment Plant Friday, according to police.
DUNDALK, MD — Police said a man's body was found in the water near the Back River Wastewater Treatment Plant in Dundalk Friday morning. He has not been publicly identified.
Officers were called at 8:24 a.m. for a report of a body near the wastewater treatment plant in the 8200 block of Eastern Avenue.
A man's body was discovered in an inlet pipe, according to Baltimore public works officials. Although it is in Baltimore County, the plant is owned and operated by Baltimore City.

Before 8:30 a.m., authorities said the man was pronounced deceased at the scene.
"It is confirmed that the body was not that of a DPW employee or contractor," Baltimore City Department of Public Works Acting Director Matthew W. Garbark said.

"The circumstances of the death are unknown at this time," Garbark said in a statement Friday afternoon.
Detectives with the Baltimore County Police Department's Homicide Unit are leading the investigation.
The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will determine the cause and manner of death.
