Closing Time: Herman's Bakery Says Goodbye After Decades
Herman's Bakery closes its doors for the final time on Tuesday. The business has been a staple in the community for decades.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — Tuesday marks the final day that Herman's Bakery serves customers.
The beloved bakery served the Baltimore region for more than 100 years, providing goodies ranging from donuts to a specialty strawberry shortcake that has been a fan favorite.
It was announced weeks ago that the bakery would be shutting down operations, as family members were slowing down and prioritizing their health.

Orders made in the aftermath prompted the shop on several occasions to post that they'd sold out of product but were waiting on a restock of ingredients.
After the initial shock, the first question many had was whether the bakery would be putting together a cookbook.
While the jury is still out on whether or not one will be made available to the public, the possibility has been raised at the shop.
The bakery first opened in Highlandtown back in 1923, later expanding to seven sites.
The remaining Dundalk location, at 7560 Holabird Avenue, was the second shop the family opened. The site has housed the bakery since 1958.
