Last night Oct 8th at the Merritt Library, we had an INCREDIBLE turnout of support from the residents of West Inverness who wanted to see their community come together and know their voices were heard.
Topics ranged from Trash pickup, Rats, safety and crime, to support from Towson and our local government.
We had support from District 7 Councilman Crandell, his office, Delegate Bob Long, and several presidents of neighboring associations. Most importantly was the turnout from the neighborhood, with limited to no notification of the meeting we managed to fill the room with concerned citizens who all want to see our neighborhood succeed.

I would like to thank Will Feuer for his organization of the event and Susan Rayba for her passion for trash cleanup. I was honored to be part of the panel to organize the association, but we have a great deal of work still to do. Fortunately a couple of the established associations have offered their assistance with their experience and I am sure that will be immensely useful.
We still need to set bylaws and elections so if there is anyone out there in the neighborhood who is interested in a position within the association, or to help out as a block captain, we want to know about it. We had a great showing of support, but talk to your neighbors and spread the word, we are a large area and we deserve a voice.

Currently we have our next meeting set for November 12th, location is being determined but we are working on the West Inverness community center. I will also be building a facebook social media site for us for better communication, email addresses for the association and general feedback... so keep an eye out and we will send out notifications.
Again thank you so very much for everyone who came out to support and assist in this!!!
