Dundalk Pharmacist Indicted In Health Care Sting: Report
A 70-year-old pharmacist was indicted after the U.S. Justice Department said he received over $170,000 in fraudulent health claims.
BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD — A Dundalk pharmacist was charged with defrauding a state health program and felony theft for filing false claims to the Maryland Medical Assistance program.
Court documents released by the U.S. Justice Department state Rotimi Fagemi, 70, "knowingly and willfully" defrauded the state program between 2021 and 2023.
The department, according to the Dundalk Eagle, said the state health program paid out more than $174,000 in claims.

The case was part of a large health care fraud sting involving 45 U.S. states and territories, among other groups.
