The Charm City Roller Girls’ home team season continues with a doubleheader on Saturday, March 10, 2012. The Night Terrors take on the Speed Regime in what should be a dazzling battle of skill and fortitude. Both teams are undefeated this season and soundly crushed their respective opponents during the previous month’s doubleheader. Since both squads are known for their phenomenal jammers and fantastic speed, defense is the element that will make or break this competition.
Immediately following, the Junkyard Dolls and the Mobtown Mods hit the flat track, each determined to nab their first victory of the season. Both teams have encountered tough losses over the course of the home team season. This matchup is their last chance to improve their records and reclaim bragging rights. It is difficult to predict who will prevail since both squads utilize strategies that could cause an upset; the Dolls are known for their tight packs and deadly blocks while the Mods could successfully counter with impenetrable walls and solid partner work.
Join the action in Canton at the Clarence “Du” Burns Arena, 1301 S. Ellwood Avenue. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., the first whistle is at 6:30 p.m. with the second bout starting at approximately 8:00 p.m. This event is family friendly and wheelchair accessible. General admission; VIP tickets, which include priority seating and a gift bag; and season passes are available. Street parking is plentiful and paid parking lots are within walking distance of the venue.
