Extreme Heat Closes Schools 3 Hours Early

It's too hot for a full day of classes, Baltimore County Public Schools officials announced Tuesday morning.

Public schools will close three hours early. No afternoon pre-kindergarten will be held and all afternoon school activities will be canceled.

A heat advisory will remain in effect in Baltimore County until 8 p.m. Tuesday, . 

Temperatures are expected to peak in the mid-90s and, with added humidity, could feel like 100 degrees, officials said.
