Police ID Body Found Near Water Treatment Plant

Police said results of the autopsy are pending.

DUNDALK, MD โ€” Officials say they have identified the man whose body was found near the wastewater treatment plant in Dundalk.

Edward William Deaver, 31, was pronounced deceased at the scene, according to police. Officials said he was homeless.

Authorities said they found Deaver in a waterway near the Back River Wastewater Treatment Plant Friday morning after officers were called at 8:24 a.m. for a report of a body in the 8200 block of Eastern Avenue.

Deaver's body was discovered in an inlet pipe, according to public works officials from Baltimore City, which owns and operates the county-based plant.

Results of Deaver's autopsy have not yet been released to detectives, police said Monday. Officials said preliminarily they do not suspect foul play but are awaiting the cause and manner of death from the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner.
