Police Activity, School Lockdowns Reported In Baltimore County
Police said there were several ongoing investigations Friday afternoon in the Dundalk and Middle River areas.

BALTIMORE COUNTY, MD โ Several schools were reportedly placed on lockdown Friday afternoon as police presence was increased in the Dundalk and Middle River areas, according to officials.
"Our detectives are conducting ongoing investigations and are out at multiple locations," Corporal Shawn Vinson told Patch Friday afternoon.
According to Vinson, there was "no threat to the public."

Due to the ongoing nature of the investigation, he said he could not disclose more information.
Several readers alerted Patch that there were schools locked down in the area, including Martin Boulevard Elementary and Colgate Elementary. School officials did not immediately respond to a request for comment.
