Hatchet, Fireworks Seized from Flier at BWI Airport

A would-be passenger was stopped by TSA officers when they found a saw, knives, smoke grenades and more in his carry-on bag.

A hatchet, fireworks, saw and other items banned from carry-on luggage – or from airplanes entirely – was seized from a passenger’s bag at Baltimore Washington International Thurgood Marshall Airport.

Transportation Security Administration officers stopped the traveler at a security checkpoint Tuesday after they detected the banned items in his carry-on luggage, WTOP reports.

The banned items included three rope cutters with straight-edged blades, one hatchet, two smoke grenades, 12 bottle rockets, one folding saw, one fixed-blade knife, one credit card knife, one utility knife, and two folding knives.
