Tractor-Trailer Flips Near Key Bridge: Transportation Officials

An overturned tractor-trailer snarled traffic for hours around the Key Bridge Friday afternoon, according to the Maryland Transportation Authority (MDTA).

The tractor-trailer flipped on the inner loop of Interstate 695 at approximately 2:30 p.m., officials said.

After 6 p.m., transportation authorities said that the crash had cleared, and there were no backups.

During the cleanup, all lanes had been blocked on the inner loop past the Key Bridge, the MDTA reported, and traffic was detoured at the toll plaza onto the outer loop.
