Unwanted, but Necessary, Feedback

Folks, we already know that the county council does not want any input on Councilman Todd Crandell’s recent bill, 86-15, which is related to special exemptions for the Sparrows Point Terminal.

However, wanted or not, the council—via this blog—is going to get plenty of input on the recently passed abomination.

So, with that said, here comes the next shot across the bow from Environmental analyst Russell Donnelly, who sent out the following community alert on how he believes 86-15 will seriously impact the community.

This communication is a CALL TO ACTION for all Baltimore County Citizens!!! Baltimore County Council proposed Bill 86-15 - sponsored by Baltimore County 7th District Councilman Todd K. Crandell, will cause permanent loss of the public’s right to input comment and control over all future industrial development enterprise in Baltimore County (BACO). PLEASE READ BACO BILL 86-15!!! This piece of legislation was enacted ON MONDAY DECEMBER 7, 2015 AT THE 7:00 P.M. BALTIMORE COUNTY COUNCIL PUBLIC HEARING. The first public mention of this proposed BACO law was entered in the newspapers on Wednesday, November 25, 2015.

There was no public input meeting ever held for this sweeping, precedent-setting, controversial legislation proposal. We the people were excluded from this landmark decision. When you read proposed BACO Bill 86-15, if you agree with its proposition, then disregard this alert. HOWEVER; if you read Bill 86-15 and are as outraged as a growing number of Baltimore County taxpaying citizens are by this EXCLUSION OF PUBLIC RIGHTS, TERMED AS “OBSTACLES” TO INDUSTRIAL ENTERPRISE PROGRESS, FROM INPUT IN DECISION MAKING ON INDUSTRIAL DEVELOPMENT BY BALTIMORE COUNTY LAW, then use the attached form letter to register your protest to stop this travesty against Public Rights with the Maryland Governor; the Maryland Attorney General; and the Baltimore County Council Counsel. Action on Bill 86-15 must be immediate and decisive; as this Bill 86-15 was voted for approval on Monday, December 7, 2015 at the BACO Hearing in Towson.

Please use the attached form letter HERE to stop this BACO governance MADNESS!!! You merely have to address the letter to the three above mentioned elected officials and email them or send Certified Mail to them IMMEDIATELY!!! Even though the bill was enacted, KEEP SENDING THESE LETTERS!
