Woman Killed in Crash; Driver Charged with DUI

A Dundalk man was reportedly driving drunk when his car crashed into a tree in Glen Burnie, police say.

A Mississippi woman died early Tuesday when the car she was riding in crashed into a tree, and police have charged the driver with drunk driving.

Anne Arundel County Police say a 2005 Honda Civic driven by Ronald William Williamsen, 29, of Dundalk crashed about 2:30 a.m. on Solley Road at Chestnut Springs Lane in Glen Burnie. Investigators suspect excessive speed and the driver’s alcohol consumption caused the fatal wreck.

The car was northbound on Solley Road when it crossed the centerline, left the roadway and struck a tree and street sign.
