• Author Lawrence Burney Comes to Mid-Shore hosted by BAAM (cambridgespy.org) — Easton residents are invited to a free youth writing workshop and evening book talk with Maryland author Lawrence Burney at BAAM’s Jowite Street campus on October 3. Middle and high schoolers can explore creative writing through song lyrics, while the evening program features live gospel music, a community conversation on his new book, and an on-site book signing.
   

• Dickerson, Easton rush past Bucs (somdnews.com) — Easton High’s football team stayed undefeated behind a huge night from senior Ja’Zir Dickerson, who racked up long touchdown runs and a 101-yard interception return in a 49–7 rout of Kent Island. Strong blocking, opportunistic defense, and sharp special teams had Easton in control from the opening snap through the final whistle.
