15 Neighbors Install Plantings in Glen Isle

The plantings will catch rain run-off before it goes toward the South River.

Residents in Glen Isle took the initiative to protect their waterfront community.

With grants from the South River Federation, Unity Gardens and the Watershed Stewarts Academy, 15 members of Glen Isle installed environmental plantings in their neighborhood.

“It was a great turnout of very dedicated people,” said Tim Keating from Watershed Stewarts Academy. “Glen Isle is a waterfront community, so we have a special responsibility to the watershed.”
