Woman Killed In 3-Car Collision: Police
A 54-year-old woman died Tuesday after a car crash sent her vehicle into oncoming traffic, police said.
ANNE ARUNDEL CO., MD — Regina Ann Hicks, a 54-year-old woman from Prince Frederick, died early Tuesday after being involved in a three-car collision in Harwood.
The Anne Arundel County Police Department said in a release that Hicks' 2010 Nissan Xterra was hit in the rear by the 19-year-old driver of a 2021 Dodge Challenger.
The collision took place as the teenager was driving on the northbound on Maryland Route 2, just south of Polling House Road.

Preliminary findings by the department determined that the force of the initial collision sent Hicks' car into opposing traffic on the southbound lane. Hicks was hit head-on by the driver of a 2019 Toyota 4Runner.
Police officers responded to the scene at about 7:20 a.m. A crash reconstruction team was later called once investigators analyzed the crash scene.

Hicks was pronounced dead after being taken to the hospital. Both the teenager and the 30-year-old woman driving the Toyota 4Runner suffered minor injuries.
No charges have been announced in the case.
