Annapolis Homicide Victim Identified By Police: News Nearby

An Annapolis man was found dead Sunday night in the woods in the Oxford Landing townhome area. His death is a homicide, police say.

ANNAPOLIS, MD — Annapolis authorities on Wednesday released the name of a homicide victim found dead in the woods on Sunday.

The dead man has been identified as Charles King, 27, of Annapolis, according to Annapolis Police.

Officers received a report just after 8:30 p.m. Sunday that a body was found in the 600 block of Tuckahoe Creek Court in the Oxford Landing townhome community. King died as the result of a homicide, say police, who have not disclosed what types of injury the victim suffered.

It is the second Annapolis homicide in a week.

Last week, DeAndre Wayman, 27, of Annapolis, was found dead Monday night at a home in the 1000 block of Paddington Place. That death was also a homicide.

No arrest has been made in Wayman’s death.
