Anne Arundel County Public Schools Make Friday Weather Decision

Weather forecasts calling for wind chills around zero have the school system changing its plans for Feb. 13.

Classes will start two hours late Friday, Feb. 13, in Anne Arundel County Public Schools because of the forecast extremely cold weather.

The wind chill will be at zero degrees when students are expected to be at bus stops in the morning.

The school system said Thursday night: “In light of the forecasted extremely cold temperatures, sub-zero wind chills, and high winds tomorrow morning, and to allow schools sufficient time to make sure utility systems and heating systems are working properly, all Anne Arundel County Public Schools will open two hours late tomorrow, February 13.”
