BLOG: I'm The Real Mad Hatter

Cooking dinner for my family.

I wear many hats during the course of my day. No, I'm not a Red Hat Lady, although one can be one on the same day they join AARP!

I can honestly say that my least favorite hat of the day is the short-order cook hat! Plus, I don't look good in this one either.

When I was a kid, every morning before leaving for school, I asked my mom, what was for dinner. And what she said was for dinner, was for dinner!

In my house, I don't eat chicken. My one daughter doesn't eat meat, and my other daughter wants a seven-course meal presented on my grandmother's dishes! And hubby, well, that's a story unto itself!

Some days I think that the way to go, is to go to a restaurant, and for all of us to pull chairs up to a buffet. We would all be fed well and happy. My dinner worries would be solved, it's like a two for one special.

To sum it up, everyday at around 5:30 while I am flipping, grilling or fryng, I am thinking, "I'll bring home the bacon, you cook it for me!"

Is my order up?
