BLOG: Wanna Go 'Halfsies?'
Taking care of two generations and getting stuck in the middle.

If I didn't know better, the term "Sandwich Generation" would sound to me like a new show on the Food Network. However, I do know better, mainly because I am the piece of cheese in this sanwich.
My in-laws are one slice of bread, and my kids are the other.
Taking care of my kids and in-laws on a daily basis gives me plenty of experience for future jobs! I also could skip med school and be a resident right now. I could be a chef, a Metro Access Driver, a grocery shopper, an apoointment maker/changer, and this is only from my older wards.

Visiting my in-laws is akin to visiting a hospital triage, a skateboard park and a CVS express.
While visiting, one can have their blood pressure taken, their sugar checked or like my kids, can ride down one of the many ramps installed around the house. Got a headache, stomachache, backache? Meet me in the dining room I'll take good care of you!

Mom, I need poster board for a project tonight, there's no food, Mom, don't forget about the meeting at school tonight. Mom, can you drive me to the mall? Mom, Mom, are you sleeping?
No honey, just cat napping, oh shoot, the cat, has anyone fed the cat?
Hi Honey, I'm home, how was your day? What's for dinner?
I'm eating your favorite sandwich, wanna go halfsies?
