From the makers of the fantastic Coraline (2009) comes a tale of witches, ghosts, zombies, and preteendom: it's ParaNorman, a movie I've been looking forward to for a long time.
First off, I love and appreciate what the filmmakers of ParaNorman have accomplished. For those who don't know, ParaNorman is a claymation/stop motion film, which means that it is just a bunch of stills of models strung together. It requires a lot of hard work and patience, and knowing this as the film progressed just made me love it more. The overall look of the film is definitely it's strongest attribute.
The writing is also great; it's a script full of witty sattire and spot on charicatures. Some of the humor is a bit adult for a PG rating—but this is a good thing, in my opinion. There is enough kiddy humor, too; but the important thing is that the adults won't be checking their watches. The voice acting is pretty good. Most of the cast are kids and they do a good job, embodying their characters in a funny and convincing way.

There's not much more to say about ParaNorman. It is simply a wonderful little film, and everyone should go see it, kids and adults alike. I give ParaNorman an 8/10.
