SRYA 10U Girls Soccer Shines On

The SRYA 10U girls soccer team celebrate their 4th championship!

Once again the South River Youth Athletics (SRYA) 10U girls soccer team, known as the Blue Dolphins, find themselves on top shining as they finish another stellar season winning their 4th championship out of 5 county seasons. This year was a bit different from past seasons. The girls moved up an age group playing 11U and tried their hand at 9v9 which proved to be successful. Going undefeated, the Blue Dolphins led the league in scoring 33 goals, least allowed and highest point total (27) in all of Anne Arundel Youth Soccer Association (AAYSA) for their age group. The girls have been playing soccer as a team for about 6 years and have developed into a powerful team with a sharp, competitive edge. They are truly a force to be reckoned with. A big thanks goes out head coach, Steve Casper, for his good humor, calm presence and for constantly watching and improving on the girls' skills to keep them a step above the rest. A big thank you goes out as well to assistant coaches, Brian Assia and Chris Suite, for their valued assistance on the field and at practices. The Blue Dolphins would like to send out a special thank you to Pat Noel who selflessly volunteered his time and valuable coaching experience to our girls during many practices. Congratulations SRYA Blue Dolphins on an amazing Spring season!
