SRYA 9U Girls Soccer Team Celebrate Victory

The South River Youth Athletics (SRYA) girls 9U soccer team is celebrating another spring Anne Arundel Youth Soccer Association (AAYSA) championship. The Division 1 team recorded a final mark of 5-1-4 and led the league in scoring with 25 goals. The girls call themselves the Blue Dolphins and it's a name they chose as a team in 2009. The majority of the team have been together since they began playing soccer in 2007 coached by Tiffany Suite for what was then Greater South River Athletics. In 2008, coaches Steve Casper and Chris Suite took over and introduced the team to three county soccer seasons and led them through a reorganization of the athletic association. Last fall Brian Assia was welcomed aboard as a Blue Dolphins coach. The Blue Dolphins soccer team simply have a magic together to make things happen!

The Blue Dolphins are: Grace Casper, Tess Casper, Julianna Covey, Megan Curtner, Alexa D'Angelo, Riley Dillahay, Jenna Jakoby, Cassie Koziolek, Molly McQueeney, Jenna Suite and Anja Weigt. The Blue Dolphins are coached by: Steve Casper, Chris Suite and Brian Assia.
