The High Flying SRYA Cheerleaders End Their Season On A High Note
The SRYA cheer teams end their successful season with more accolades and a Coach of the Year!
The South River Youth Athletics (SRYA) competition cheer teams have worked their way through an amazingly successful season. Still young for an organization, SRYA cheer has only been competing for 2 years. The accomplishments this season would seem more indicative of an older and more seasoned program.
The girls wrapped up their winter competition season in Virginia Beach at The Grand Nationals on March 24-25. During this 2-day event, each team competed twice. The Seahawk ladies walked out with that Seahawk pride and quite a few notable accomplishments.

To give the SRYA cheer family even more to celebrate, their cheer commissioner and 14U head coach, Beverly Goldbeck, walked out with an award herself! Congratulations to Beverly Goldbeck for winning the Recreation Coach of the Year! It's an amazing honor and all of the hard work and dedication you bring to your girls and the SRYA is greatly appreciated.
YEAR IN REVIEW
It's been an incredible season for the SRYA winter competition cheer teams. I don't personally have a cheerleader in my home, but I know a few and have really enjoyed being kept in the loop and posting about all the wonderful things these girls have done from the fundraisers to their many cheer awards. My personal congratulations goes out to Beverly for winning Rec. Coach of the Year and to all the girls for their many accomplishments. All of you have a lot to be proud of ~ take a look!
