Loaded Gun Found During Churchton Traffic Stop, Columbia Man Arrested: Police

Police said they found a loaded handgun during a Churchton traffic stop. Officers arrested the accused Columbia man.

CHURCHTON, MD — The Anne Arundel County Police Department announced that it found a loaded gun during a recent traffic stop in Churchton. Officers said they arrested the accused driver, identified as 28-year-old Eric Deandre Xavier Hill of Columbia.

The encounter happened last Tuesday around 2:35 p.m. Authorities said they stopped a blue Honda Civic on Muddy Creek Road near Chalk Point Road.

The officer then seized a loaded 9-mm Polymer 80 handgun and a small amount of suspected marijuana, a press release said. Police charged the suspect accordingly.
