County Agencies Closed, Workers Off Until Tuesday
Libraries, senior centers, dumps and other county services are scheduled to reopen Dec. 27.

Anne Arundel County government employees will take the day off on Friday in what the county is calling a "Service Reduction Day." Some agencies will reopen for all or part of Saturday (Christmas Eve), but be closed Christmas Day and the Anne Arundel County and federal government holiday on Dec. 26.
Annapolis City government is also taking a day off on Friday—a city furlough day. City government will be closed on Monday for the Christmas holiday. All city government offices will be closed both days.

Sudley Convenience Center, West River: Closed Dec. 23-26.
Curbside pickup and recycling: No curbside collections Dec. 24. Curbside collection on a normal schedule for Friday, Dec. 23 and Monday, Dec. 26.

, Edgewater: Closed Dec. 23-26.
County Parks at Riva, Davidsonville, Riverwood, Carrs Wharf and Loch Haven: Closed Dec. 25. Regular schedules for all other days, including Monday, Dec. 26.
Anne Arundel County Police: 911 for emergency.
Anne Arundel County Fire: 911 for emergency.
Anne Arundel County Animal Control: Closed Dec. 22, 25 and 26. Open on Christmas Eve. Emergency Field Service is available 24 hours daily. Call 911.
Annapolis City services affected:
Trash collections and yard waste collections will be suspended both Friday and Monday. Those normally scheduled for Friday and Monday will receive pickups on Wednesday (Dec. 28).
Because recycling services are provided by a contractor, recycling will be collected on Friday and Monday.
