Davidsonville Man Found Dead Off The Coast Of North Carolina

DAVIDSONVILLE, MD — A 51-year-old man from Davidsonville was recovered from the ocean off Nags Head, North Carolina, Thursday, Oct. 3. According to a press release from the Town of Nags Head, the man was found floating face down in the water near the 8300 block of South Old Oregon Inlet Road.

The person who found the Anne Arundel County resident called 911. Nags Head's Police and Fire and Ocean Rescue Departments responded to the scene. Officials say the Ocean Rescue team brought the man ashore and administered CPR, but efforts were unsuccessful and he was pronounced dead, WBAL reported. The man's cause of death is under investigation and officials have declined to name the man.
