Davidsonville Mom, Riva Son Launch Anti-Aging Supplement

Local mother-son team begin selling water mix-in at Whole Foods; prepare to re-launch LaCrista Natural Skin Care products after long hiatus.

Linda Collinson, once again the owner of LaCrista Natural Skin Care, said she has found the perfect business partner to relaunch the brand she started decades ago.

“He has great business knowledge,” she said. “It’s not just because he’s my son.”

Budge Collinson of Annapolis, developer and owner of Infusion Sciences, a new all-natural vitamin supplement for water, had similar sentiments for his mother.

Together, the team is bringing Infusion Sciences to market. recently cleared the ingredients in the powder packets to be sold on its shelves regionally, said Budge Collinson.

It also is being sold at Evolutions Body Clinic and Budge said they are preparing to launch online sales. In addition to sales, the website will be interactive and educational, he said.

He said the plan is to call upon his mother’s entrepreneurial knowledge, the demand for all-natural products and even a trend toward better nutrition.

“I think mainstream medicine is recognizing nutrition more so now than ever before,” Budge said.

Linda Collinson, a Davidsonville resident, had developed a following by selling her skin-care products in several local shops and stores including .

She recently repurchased the company she had sold about 10 years ago. At that time, she was helpin her husband with his business.

Her son’s idea was a natural fit and the two quickly saw the natural combination between the two products.

“I had been going to the gym all the time and was looking for something to flavor my water,” Budge said.

But not being able to find a healthy option, he decided to make his own.

“I wanted something that not only replaces what you lose, but wanted to add something, as well,” he said.

The company’s Youth Infusion, is a “potent anti-aging formula” that is “formulated to nourish the body and protect against damaging free radicals,” according to a release.

The partners are working with manufacturers in Arizona, designers in Florida and athletic groups and trainers from Budge’s contacts across the country.

Linda said in about a year they will most likely begin to look for additional investors.

In all, they are both optimistic as their product is launched right here in Greater Annapolis.

“We have the experience and I have the brains right here,” Linda said with a motherly squeeze of her son’s arm.
