Two Deale residents have been displaced after a fire in their house; crews from four fire departments responded.

DEALE, MD — Investigators are trying to determine the cause of a Deale house fire that drew crews from four fire departments to 469 Deale Road on Monday afternoon. Passersby reported that the three-story single-family house was on fire, according to the Anne Arundel County Fire Department.

Several callers to 911 reported smoke coming from the upper-level windows of the home. Firefighters found a fire in a second-floor bathroom; it was extinguished and contained to that room, officials said in a news release.

No injuries to civilians or firefighters were reported. Two residents, who were not home at the time of the fire, have been displaced and are being helped by the Red Cross.
