Edgewater Man Dies After Solomons Island Road Crash
A 23-year-old Edgewater man was pronounced dead after his vehicle struck a tree on Solomons Island Road early Thursday.
EDGEWATER-DAVIDSONVILLE, MD — An Edgewater man is dead after his vehicle crashed into a tree on Solomons Island Road early Friday, authorities said.
The man was identified by police as 23-year-old Brian Vincent Yetter, who suffered fatal injuries when his 2024 Subaru Crosstrek crossed a median and collided with a nearby tree.
No other cars were involved in the incident.

The Anne Arundel County Police Department said the fatal collision occurred near the intersections of Solomons Island and Poplar Point roads. Police responded to the area just after 2 a.m.
Preliminary findings indicated the vehicle was traveling south on Solomons Island Road, just south of East Road, when, for reasons unknown, the car left the roadway, entered the center median and hit a tree.

Yetter was pronounced dead at an area hospital.
An investigation into the crash remains ongoing.
