Edgewater Mom Wins Big With Scratch Ticket

EDGEWATER, MD — Thanks to her toddler's fascination with airplanes, an Edgewater mom who treated her son to a trip to the Lee Airport ended up with quite a surprise. The mom, who has played Lottery games periodically, popped into Lucky's Superette on the way home from one of their recent airport visits.

The 40-year-old woman bought The Price is Right scratch ticket for just $10 and ended up winning $100,000. The mom told the Maryland Lottery that she plans to make a few home repairs and pad her son's college savings account with her winnings.
