Kevin Birch, Director of Music at St. John’s Catholic
Church, Bangor Maine will perform on our showpiece
organ at All Hallows. His doctoral project was an account of the work of David Moore, the builder of our beautiful organ.
Mr. Birch will present an illustrated lecture on A. David
Moore and his work, with a special emphasis on Opus
34 at All Hallows.
Mr. Birch has performed throughout the United
States, Europe and in South America. Recent highlights
include concerts at the 2007 and 2009 International
Organ Festivals in Berlin, the Meisterkonzert Series at
the Kaiser Wilhelm Gedächtnis Kirche in Berlin, the
2010 International Artist Series at Boston’s Old West
Church, and programs for several national conventions
of the Organ Historical Society.
Our organ was the subject of the cover feature
article in Diapason, an international monthly magazine
devoted to organ, harpsichord, carillon, and church
music, with articles by David Moore and Mike Menne.
