This evening's discussion will be led by Dr. Olav Oftedal, a nutritional ecologist at SERC, who was the leader of a Smithsonian team sent to study the lactation and pup rearing by the world's most southerly breeding mammal, the Weddell seal. Learn about this unique species and the research findings. Light refreshments will be provided from 6:30 to 7 p.m., presentation from 7 to 8 p.m. and discussion from 8 to 8:30 p.m.
