Five Questions with SRHS Athlete Reilly Wagner
Reilly Wagner is a sophomore on the South River High School track team.

Patch stopped by South River High School on Jan. 31 and spoke with sophomore Reilly Wagner, 15, about her track career and life at SRHS.
Edgewater-Davidsonville Patch: What is your favorite South River track memory?
Reilly Wagner: Breaking the 5’2”- 5’4” barrier for high jump. Once Kali [Dawson] did it made me more determined to break it and now we hold the record together. And when our 4x400 meter relay broke the record; when our coach told us we were so excited.
Edgewater-Davidsonville Patch: How is your season going so far, and what are your expectations heading into the post-season?
Wagner: It’s going really well. I hope to maintain and get 5’4” at regions and states, because I really want to place up there. For the mile I placed second at counties, so I want to drop my time a little and place in the top ten in regions and state.

Edgewater-Davidsonville Patch: What athlete would you say you idolize and why?
Wagner: Karie Holian, she graduated last year. She was such a good role model to look up to—she had such high spirits. She believed in me so much and helped me do so much better. She taught me about track and helped me become a better athlete.
