Hot Grill Sparks House Fire In Davidsonville
A grill sitting on the back deck of a Davidsonville home caught nearby materials on fire, which quickly spread across the rear of the home.
DAVIDSONVILLE, MD — A hot grill sitting too close to flammable material started a significant fire Sunday, July 14, at a Davidsonville home. The call for help from a resident in the home came in at 9:17 p.m. for the two-story single-family dwelling located at 1049 Ashe St. She told 911 that her deck and sunroom were on fire.
Anne Arundel County firefighters were assisted by Annapolis and Prince George's County firefighters. It took the crew of 38 firefighters 25 minutes to get the fire under control. No injuries were reported and the residents were not displaced.
