Irish Dancers Headline St. Patricks Day Dinner in Davidsonville
Beautifully-costumed dancers perform hornpipes, jigs and reels for standing room only crowd at Holy Family Church.
Dancers from the Hunt School of Irish Dance spent about an hour performing for the crowd at Holy Family Catholic Church in Davidsonville Saturday night, during the parish's annual St. Patrick's Day dinner.
The dancers performed both soft shoe and hard shoe dances choreographed to traditional Irish music. According to Sydney Newman, 9, of Davidsonville, this time of year is busy for the dancers. The company will perform at several public performances through Thursday.
"It's a lot of fun," Sydney said.

Their next performance is Sunday at the St. Patrick's Day parade in Washington, DC (noon at Constitution Ave. and 7th St., NW). On Thursday, St. Patrick's Day, they'll put on a show at 4 p.m. at Killarney House restaurant in Davidsonville.
They'll be busy again in May when several of the dancers who ranked at December regionals will head to the Irish Dance National Championships in Nashville.
