Lothian Man Charged In String Of Random Shootings
A Lothian man is facing multiple charges after being arrested for several overnight shootings that happened in Prince George's County.

ANNE ARUNDEL CO., MD — Kendrick Lamont Savoy, a 44-year-old man from Lothian, was arrested and charged for several shootings that occurred in Prince George's County.
Maryland State Police said Wednesday that Lamont was taken into custody without incident during a traffic stop at the 2300 block of Oxon Run Drive in Temple Hill.
He is facing the following charges:

- 5 counts of attempted first-degree murder
- 5 counts of attempted second-degree murder
- 5 counts of first-degree assault
- 3 counts of use of a firearm in a violent felony
- Possession of a firearm by a prohibited person
- Possession of a stolen firearm

During the traffic stop, authorities found two handguns inside the Dodge Challenger that Savoy was driving.

He is being held at the Prince George's County Detention Center. A bond hearing is scheduled for Thursday at 1:15 p.m.
Savoy came under police radar as the car he was driving matched the description of the vehicle tied to three separate highway shootings in Prince George's County.
The three shootings took place on Maryland Route 5 and on Interstates 495/95 between 10:30 p.m. on Monday and 1:30 a.m. on Tuesday.
"A motorist operating a motor vehicle was traveling on the ramp when a man appeared on the right shoulder. He was standing outside the driver’s side of a stationary vehicle on the shoulder," reads a release from the Maryland State Police, describing the second shooting.
"The man fired multiple rounds and struck the passing vehicle."
The first two incidents did not involve any injuries.
However, the third shooting left the driver injured. State police said the individual drove himself to the hospital. The severity of the injuries was not detailed.
Police had said at the time that preliminary findings indicate all three shootings were connected.
