The Arts Council of Anne Arundel County recently held a networking and marketing workshop led by Joann Vaughn, Executive Director of the Maryland Federation of Art. Hosted by Historic London Town & Gardens. Non profit Anne Arundel County Arts and Historic Preservation organizations learned the latest techniques for utilizing social media and traditional media platforms to build their audience and patron base,

The Arts Council of Anne Arundel County provides grants and support to over forty nonprofit organizations. Providing a resource for the cultural arts community through advocacy, funding, programming, and promotions; the Arts Council supports a variety of groups that include Annapolis Symphony Orchestra, Anne Arundel County Trust for Preservation, Chesapeake Art Center, and the Shady Side Captain Avery Museum. The Arts Council also administers the Arts in Education Program serving both public and private Anne Arundel County Schools, which provides grant funding to bring performances and artists into auditoriums and classrooms.
