Minute Clinic to Open in Edgewater CVS
After finding success with the concept in Annapolis, CVS has expanded clinics to include Edgewater and Dunkirk.
in Edgewater will open a Minute Clinic franchises in Edgewater. The new facility, inside the store, is expected to open Wednesday.
Linda Davies, who is responsible for opening all of the Minute Clinics in the Baltimore area, said that they decided on the Edgewater area because they want to be in the neighborhoods where people are.
“Our Annapolis clinic on Riva Road is very successful, and we wanted the new location to be convenient for customers, we want to eliminate long waits and give people options,” Davies said.

Davies explained the differences in the types of services that are offered.
“We have a minor illness exam, which is ear aches, sore throats, cough, tired, allergy symptoms, that sort of thing. Then we have minor exams, where we include skin, bug bites, burns, cuts, splinters and sprains,” she said.
They also do a variety of physicals, including sport, camp, Department of Transportation certificates, college students and screening services.
They have a special right now for a $39 physical, that special will run until the end of December.
All of their clinics are staffed with family nurse practitioners.
The reach for the clinic is for anyone who needs to use it, Davies said.
She noted that that could be people who live or work in Edgewater, Davidsonville or areas further south, or people who are here temporarily on business or are visiting family, or are just driving through town.

“We encourage customers to call 866-389-2727, that is toll free. The line is staffed 24/7,” Davies said.
In addition, Davies said that they have hired for the Edgewater store, but they are always looking for qualified candidates.
“They can call or also go to minute clinic online and they can run the application process,” Davies said.
