Muddy Creek and 214 Work Crew Details

To help residents plan around upcoming road closures, the county has released specific time frames for work to be completed.

The Anne Arundel County Department of Public Works has released a work schedule for the next two weeks of specific times for closures and details of the work to be performed at Route 214 and Muddy Creek Roads in Edgewater.

A DPW drawing of the work accompanies this article. The work will be as follows:

Week of April 4—

  • Central Avenue northside lane closures (with flaggers) between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. so that BGE can work on renew poles in front of Muddy Creek Liquors.
  • Central Avenue northside shoulder closure between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. for Verizon work.
  • Central Avenue northside shoulder closure between Muddy Creek Liquors and Glebe Branch so that CGI can clear trees and stumps on the north side of the roadway. 

Week of April 11—

  • Central Avenue southside lane closures (with flaggers) between 9 p.m. and 6 a.m. so that BGE can work to renew poles from Muddy Creek Road to Glebe Branch. Also daytime shoulder work during this time.
  • Central Avenue northside shoulder closure between 9 a.m. and 3 p.m. in front of Muddy Creek Liquors for Verizon work.
  • Central Avenue nighttime lane shift with lane closure for pavement marking changes (beginning April 11). 
  • Central Avenue northside will have workers behind barriers for grading and excavation work.
