Music in May Concert Series Set at Historic London Town and Gardens

Saturday afternoons in May will offer symphony concerts at the Historic London Town and Gardens in Edgewater.

Historic London Town and Gardens, in partnership with the Londontowne Symphony Orchestra, is offering a Music in May concert series.

On select Saturdays in May (3, 10, 17, 31) the Londontowne Symphony will perform a 1 p.m. concert at Historic London Town and Gardens in Edgewater. Each concert will last 45-60 minutes and is included in general admission.

Depending on the weather and the day, the performance will either be in the woodland and ornamental gardens or in the c1760 tavern (William Brown House). Seating is limited in the William Brown House.

For performances in the gardens, attendees may bring their own chairs.

  • May 3 – Duet in the William Brown House
  • May 10 – Quartet in the Gardens
  • May 17 – Duet in the William Brown House
  • May 31 – Brass quintet in the Gardens 

Admission to the site is: free for members; $10 – general public; $9 – seniors (62+); $5 – youth (7-18); and free for children (6 and younger).

Historic London Town and Gardens is a 23-acre museum and public garden featuring history, archaeology, and horticulture. Explore the Historic Area, which includes the circa 1760 William Brown House and reconstructed colonial buildings. Wander the ten-acre Woodland Garden of native plants and exotic species arranged along a one-mile trail before enjoying the seasonal Ornamental Gardens overlooking the South River.

The modern Visitor Center and Pavilion support weddings, business meetings, family events, as well as school and group tours.
