• Major Construction & Structural Expansion of the Edgewater Community Center Begins (whatsupmag.com) — Construction is officially underway to transform the former Giant building into the new Edgewater Community Center, with completion expected by July 2027 and additional site work to follow. The expanded facility will feature a high-roof gym, indoor playground, elevated walking track, and accessible multi-generational spaces, all built with climate-conscious practices and state support to serve Edgewater and South County residents year-round.
