Privateer Party Nov. 8 At Historic London Town In Edgewater

EDGEWATER, MD — Make plans to attend the annual Privateer Party Nov. 8 at Historic London Town in Edgewater. The event runs from 5:30 to 9:30 p.m. and offers food, dancing, a silent auction and other activities designed to benefit the Historic London Town & Gardens.

Local caterers and restaurants including Bayside Bull, Blackwall Hitch, Boatyard Bar & Grill, Creative Cuisine, Ken’s Creative Kitchen, Santoni’s, Saucy Salamander, Skipper’s Pier, Vida Taco and Wegmans of Crofton will provide food options while dessert will come from Fiona’s Cakes. Lyons Distilling will be hosting a rum tasting, too.

The silent auction will feature such items as four Grand Suite Tickets to the Washington Ballet Nutcracker at Warner Theater, two fleet passes to tour all historic ship sites in Baltimore Harbor and an all-inclusive Wine & Wickets Croquet Party for eight guests. Live music and dancing will be provided by Mixing Maryland DJs.

Funding generated at this event helps support the preservation of the colonial site’s special history and gorgeous woodland and ornamental gardens. Historic London Town & Gardens is visited annually by more than 5,500 students and 10,000 visitors.
