Amazon — And Apple — Accidentally Leak iPhone 7 Details Before Announcement
The good news: You can get a head start on shopping for your new iPhone!
Apple's announcement of the iPhone 7 and its new features was never going to be too much of a surprise, with rumors and leaks now the norm months before formal product announcements.
But the iPhone 7 announcement was even less suspenseful because of leaks from two major players in the announcement: Amazon and Apple itself.
First, Amazon jumped the gun a little bit by publishing its iPhone 7 landing page before the phones were officially announced. The page showed official photos (not grainy leaks) of the new phones — an iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus — before Apple got a chance to show them off first.

Amazon has since replaced the page with a more basic iPhone 7 accessories page, but you can see a screenshot we took of the page before it went down at the top of this article.
Then, Apple apparently decided to throw secrecy out the window and just tweet the features itself before the event began. The tweet said, "New cameras. Water-resistant. Stereo speakers. Longer battery life. This is 7. Learn more."
And everyone's biggest fear was also confirmed: They're taking away your headphone jack. Goodbye tangled cords, hello Bluetooth headphones.
But the tweet was apparently a mistake too, as the tweet was taken down. Like anything on the internet, the screenshots live forever:

The good news for you in all of this? Now you can get a head start on your accessories shopping.
First, you're going to want a good pair of Bluetooth headphones to go with your headphone-jack-less new phone. You'll have plenty of options, from a basic set of earbuds all the way up to a high-end pair of over-ears.
Our pick for headphones: Right now, you can get Amazon's best-selling pair of Bluetooth headphones, normally priced at $139.99, for just $29.99.
Then you're going to want protection.
There are plenty of cases available already, whether you favor a thinner, more vulnerable case or a bulkier one with more durability. Click here to see the options.
Our choice of case: This one from Maxboost gives you some protection without being to obtrusive. And it's just $15.98.
You won't have to worry about getting a new set of charging cables, since iPhone 7 will still use the lightning cable. But it never hurts to have a few extra lying around. There are plenty available here at a great price, like this 6-foot cable made by Amazon for $8. Or this pack of three from Adoric for $10.40.
And be sure to keep your phone charged on-the-go with a portable charger. This one, for $15, will give you about one full charge and is nice and small to carry around. Or you can opt for a slightly larger one that you can get several full charges out of.
