POLL: 'Skins or Ravens? What Kind of Sports Town is Edgewater?

We'd like to see if there are more Ravens fans than Redskins (or vice versa). Tell us your thoughts on this town's football allegiance.

The Washington Redskins (3-4) are meeting the 49ers Sunday at home on Sunday. Kickoff is 1 p.m. The Ravens (5-2) will be playing the Pittsburgh Steelers later Sunday evening.

But in Edgewater, there seems to be a sharp split in allegiance. Giant Foods used to be all about the red and gold on game day, but over the past few years there has been marked shift to the purple and black.

When the two teams played at the same time in mid-September, did you pick one over the other or did you flip channels and try to catch both?

So we were wondering, where are folks these days? Since 1996, when the Ravens had their first home games in Baltimore, has their proximity to Anne Arundel tugged on your allegiance to the 'skins, who have been playing in Washington and suburbs since the mid-1930s?

Tell us your reasons for liking one team over the other.
