Westfield Annapolis Black Friday Sales Start After Stroke of Midnight

Specials, discounts and giveaways abound for the late night party at the mall.

Black Friday is upon us and for the first time, will be throwing open its doors at 12:01 a.m. Friday.

To help celebrate the annual retail holiday, mall officials have a slew of contests and deals planned for those adventurous enough to brave the crowds and forgo sleep.

The first 500 shoppers at 12:01 a.m. Friday to stop by the WRNR location in front of Vans, just outside of Lord & Taylor, will receive a free goody bag, including a $10 gift card from a participating store, according to a release.

Secret Santas also will be roaming the mall to surprise shoppers at random with prizes and giveaways.

Greater Annapolis Patch will be hosting a live blog from the mall starting at midnight, sharing photos and providing an insider’s look at how things are shaping up.

WRNR will be broadcasting live Friday from 12:01 to 6 a.m., also providing prizes and other discounts.

Some of the specials include: 

  • —Receive a free “holiday tote” with a purchase of $100 or more.
  • Aerie—40 percent off the entire store; first 400 customers receive free gift tote with purchase.
  • —Take 40 percent off your entire purchase before noon.
  • —Take 30 percent off entire store until 2 p.m.
  • H&M—First 100 customers in line will receive scratch cards offering discounts off their purchase.

Visit the mall’s Facebook page now for a chance to win a VIP Shopping Experience Sweepstakes for Black Friday. The package includes VIP Parking on Black Friday, a swag bag filled with goodies including a $250 Westfield Gift Card, dinner for two at one of the center’s full-service restaurants (restaurant offer expires Dec. 24), a personal shopping assistant and more, according to the release.
