Young Visitor Thrilled With Time at Edgewater Police Station
A little boy who took candy to the Southern District police station in Edgewater loved his personal tour of a patrol car on Christmas Eve.
EDGEWATER, MD — Residents from across Anne Arundel County have visited their nearest police station in recent days to drop off cards, cookies, and more as a thank-you to the work police officers do every day of the year. But it's doubtful that anyone was more excited to visit a police station than young Tyler, who dropped in on the Southern District station in Edgewater on Christmas Eve with candy.
The department shared photos of the visit by Tyler and his mom, Alexandra on Facebook. Besides hopping behind the wheel of a cruiser, the boy used a radar gun on Corporal Andrew Salenieks and generally enjoyed his personal tour of a squad car.
In an email from Tyler's mom, Alexandra, she wrote:

"It was great meeting you yesterday. Thank you for your time and warmth towards Tyler — it was a great adventure! He talked about you and your vehicle all day. I’m so glad we got to meet you when we dropped off our yearly thank you/holiday candy."
Candy may not have been the biggest gift shared on Christmas Eve.
