The American Red Cross of Central, MD is seeking compassionate and committed volunteers to support weekday blood drives throughout Carroll County.  Volunteers serve as Blood Donor Ambassadors, greeting donors and providing excellent customer service to promote blood donation and enhance the blood donor experience.  Volunteers are asked to commit to at least one 4-6 hour shift each month for a minimum of 6 months.  This opportunity is open to those who are 18 years of age and older.  All training provided.

Every two seconds, someone in the U.S. needs blood.  They may be a patient battling cancer or
Sickle-Cell, an accident or burn victim, heart surgery or organ transplant
patient. The American Red Cross supplies 40 % of this country’s blood supply. Red
Cross volunteers help to save lives by making the blood donation experience a
safe and positive experience for donors.
